Mike Powell, PhD, works with an international venture capital partnership, called Sofinnova Ventures, where he brings 20 years of experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and vaccines. His research expertise is in drug delivery and applied immunology, with particular emphasis on vaccine adjuvants. Before joining Sofinnova, Mike was Group Leader at Genentech in South San Francisco, California (1990-1997), and prior to that Director of Product Development for Cytel Corporation in San Diego, California (1987-1990). Mike is the author of nearly 100 publications and books, including an 1100 page treatise titled Vaccine Design.
