Advocates’ Corner
Advocacy has played an incredible role in
the fight against HIV/AIDS, especially early in
the epidemic. Public attention and eventual
allocation of resources to address the growing
pandemic was due in large part to community
advocacy. This history of activism lives on
today—and this section of the website is
dedicated to helping people discover how they
can be more involved in HIV prevention research
advocacy and education.
In this
section you will find information on upcoming
events of note, suggestions for ways that you
can voice your opinion, and opportunities to
increase your knowledge of HIV prevention
research through various publications and
membership in the Advocates’
Network.
