PxROAR Europe is a pilot project that supports HIV prevention research advocates based in the European Union. PxROAR stands for Research, Outreach, Advocacy and Representation.
The project offers training for European advocates in biomedical HIV prevention research education and advocacy through mentorship, peer support, networking opportunities, and technical and financial support.
Goals
- Expand the capacity of ROAR members in engaging in HIV prevention research science and advocacy.
- Contribute to European advocacy for research, development and implementation of new HIV preventions, including AIDS vaccines, microbicides, pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and treatment as prevention.
- Track EMA licensing processes and advocate for funding for European-based research through the EU’s Financial Framework 2014-2020 and Horizon 2020.

The German Sexuality and Health Foundation (GSSG) was founded in 2007 and develops and promotes projects particularly in the field of "sexual health”. GSSG is host to the national Network on Women and AIDS and the German Lifeboat Project. In addition to its national projects GSSG lobbies at events concerning sexual health and focuses on exchange with national and international experts.
