HIV/AIDS and Cure Basics - Module 7

Early ART

Within the last three years, there have been several cases of remission or virologic control occurring in HIV-positive individuals who started on treatment during acute infection and after some period of time stopped treatment. Researchers globally are looking to understand why some HIV-positive individuals can achieve a temporary remission while others rebound quickly after stopping treatment. This module will give an overview of the current research landscape and place early ART research in the larger framework of the HIV cure research agenda.
