Abigail is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at AVAC where she manages accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting. In this role, Abigail works across the organization to support program teams in financial management of grants and programs, contributes to strategic planning, and assures overall financial compliance with accounting standards and donor requirements. Since joining AVAC, Abigail led the implementation of cloud-based financial system, simplified and standardized financial reporting for subgrantees, and improved timeliness and consistency in donor reporting.
Prior to joining AVAC, Abigail was Deputy CFO at Planned Parenthood Federation, Inc. where she led budgeting, grants management, and reporting. Earlier in her career she was based in West Africa where she served as Regional Manager for the Clinton Foundation Health Access Initiative focusing on support for capacity building for HIV/AIDS diagnosis and treatment.
Abigail joined AVAC in 2019, bringing significant non-profit financial and program management experience and a sense of humor. She holds a BA in Political Science, an MA in Art History, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
