The US government’s efforts to fight the global AIDS pandemic through both the US President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria have been transformative in the global AIDS response. To maintain the current total level of US global HIV/AIDS funding in Fiscal Year 2015, the US House of Representatives has proposed restoring US$300 million in PEPFAR funding. As illustrated in this infographic, amfAR has estimated the potential human impact of US$300 million to expand lifesaving HIV prevention, treatment and care services.
