Rachel Saunders

Program Assistant: Research Engagement

Rachel Saunders is a Program Assistant at AVAC where she coordinates and supports meeting scheduling and reporting for the Coalition to Accelerate and Support Prevention Research (CASPR). In this role, Rachel coordinates CASPR partner monthly check-ins, CASPR monthly calls and quarterly reporting processes. Since joining AVAC, Rachel has helped coordinate and analyze survey feedback results for AVAC’s Margarita Breakfast Chat series at CROI.

Prior to joining AVAC, Rachel was receiving her Masters of Public Health in Maternal, Child Sexual and Reproductive Health where she developed and implemented a TGNC inclusivity training program for college faculty and served as a research assistant on several studies examining the interaction between technology and gender identity.

Rachel joined AVAC in 2023, bringing several years of coordination experience in non-profit and large office settings. Rachel also holds a Bachelor’s in Political Science from Syracuse University.
