Shiva is the Program Manager for Data Analytics and Visualization at AVAC where she conducts research, collects and manages the data and helps analyze and conceptualize strategies to share insights across AVAC’s programs with policymakers, donors, advocates and others setting global agendas around HIV prevention and global health equity.
Prior to joining AVAC, Shiva was focused on quantifying and addressing health disparities in the global setting including access to equitable care, education, and resources.
Shiva joined AVAC in 2023, bringing with her a background in cellular and developmental biology and more than 5 years of public health experience working with organizations in the non-for-profit and for-profits sectors. Shiva holds an MPH in Epidemiology with an emphasis in Global Health from Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. In her free time, she is working towards specializing as a rescue scuba diver and cares deeply about the advocates and movements working to maintain the ocean’s health and diversity around the globe.
